February is here!
K-2
Like January, February will continue to musically follow the winter season.
Songs about the clothes we wear, foods we eat, friends and people we love and the sports we play, will all be shared. Our hibernating friend, “Mr. Bruce the Bear”, will be making several guest appearances as well.
3-4
Black history month will be celebrated throughout February. The students will be listening to artists who have had a significant impact on our culture.
The music of Armstrong, Fitzgerald, Ellington and a lot of other wonderful artists will be appreciated and enjoyed.
5-6
The students will be researching and presenting on an influential African American entertainer.
Their presentations are not meant to be just reported facts but a brief summary and informal presentation, highlighting the artist’s career.
7-8 MS
Our middle schoolers are doing the same as the 5th and 6th graders.
Presenting individually, students will be demonstrating in a similar fashion.
We continue to work on music for the end of the year and their MS play.
Coda
